Once upon a time, I was ginormously pregnant with our third child (and our third boy!). At that time, I was both a full-time stay-at-home mama to our 4 and 2 year old boys, working as a pediatric trauma nurse in an Emergency Department, and complaining full time about the size of my belly and the swelling in my feet.
Don’t get me wrong – I had 20-30 mmHg compression socks. And as long as I wore them, my feet were fine. However… I was getting darn sick of boring colors and the uniform athletic look. I wanted to look – and feel – cute while wearing my compression socks.
Was that too much to ask?
Well, at the time apparently it was!
After the umpteenth time of hearing me complain about the lack of options, my sweet husband suggested I go ahead and design my own – and start this whole business. So we did.
Fast forward to today…
It’s been a few years since we started this gig. In fact, we’ve now got a 4th child – a little sister for all of our boys! (she’s growing way too fast, if you ask me) Since then, there’s popped up a few more design options in the 20-30 mmHg graduated compression rating range. Which, if you ask me, is fantastic. Because that’s what I wanted – was more options.
These socks, though, are still my favorite for several reasons. First, they’re simply stylish. They’re simple enough to wear at home or stylish enough to wear out. And that double-lined sole? HEAVEN on my feet, y’all.
I should know better than to take trash out in just my socks for fear of ripping them on the rough concrete, but I do it anyway. I should probably follow my own washing recommendations, too. But I don’t. I wash and dry these suckers in my washer and dryer.
And even after all of these years, my socks are still holding up great.
So that’s who we are – cute compression sock lovers who got into this to make a difference. Want to join us?
